As type professionals, we have much value to offer to job seekers. Millions of people are still out of work in a very frustrating job market. Interview opportunities are few and far between. The preferences for introversion and extroversion can be real sources of anxiety and misunderstanding and can prevent establishing rapport in an interview. We can greatly serve the unemployed by helping them go into an interview with more confidence and use interview opportunities to their best advantage. These materials help participants both build their confidence and avoid common mistakes.  The second part of the workshop focuses on how to best survive the job transition.

I have presented this workshop for 2 years to local jobseeker networking groups. It is well-attended, helps the unemployed, and also draws clients to my locally-taught workshops at a community college. Both extroverts and introverts report finding value in experiencing this workshop and using the tip sheets. You will experience the workshop and receive the rights to use the tip sheets with your 1-on-1 coaching clients and groups. This is an opportunity to serve the unemployed in your community, help your own clients, and showcase your skills and the value of type.

Learning objectives:

1. Participants will explore the special challenges:

  • Introverts and Extroverts experience in interviews
  • Introverts and Extroverts experience during the job transition

2. Participants will receive suggestions:

  • For both Introverts and Extroverts in an interview
  • For both Introverts and Extroverts on how to take care of themselves during the job transition

3. Participants will learn how to conduct this workshop on their own and receive materials to use with coaching clients and workshop attendees.
